AlertsPro App Reviews

Bad!

Upon launching it just crashes; no good.

Greedy.

The app requires repeating in-app payment in order to be warned when there are weather events. For free, its just a regular weather app. Also, I got a "special offer" from MeteoGroups other app, Meteo Earth, to download this app for free for a limited time. If this app is free all the time, then, well, you get it. Greed.

Does not work!

I got this to try it. Unfortunately I finally figured out why it did not work. You must pay for alerts. Delete.

Completely useless - even with push

No matter where you tap or what most basic thing you try to do in this very limited app - it always only results in a message blocking you until you pay for a premium subscription. Completely unusable greedy app. Ridiculous. Delete.

Alerts Pro

Great app, I use it constantly. It is nice to get detailed weather related updates from Western Europe and the US anywhere, anytime, on the go!

Useless

I typed in my Zip code in to the Zip code search bar and got "No Results". What good is a weather app that can’t give you your home weather?

Perfect

Thank you that you keeping all update

Excellent!

I used this a few times

Fun but not perfect...

Why premium

I just want an app that tell me the weather. I try to zoom in to my house, but the premium keeps coming up on my screen. I dont want premium.

Great app

It does what it says and does it well. It keeps me informed and up to date on the weather at locations I need that information.

Worthless. Does NOT report alerts. Avoid.

Im a huge weather buff and have myriad weather apps on my iPhone 6 Plus. Unfortunately, AlertsPro is the first one Ive paid for that does NOTHING but look pretty. Winter weather advisories--in the form of snow or bitter wind chills--are missed, while every other app (Wunderground, WeatherBug, eWeather HD and about 6 others) works as advertised. A letter to support, complete with screen shots clearly showing the issue, was returned but with lousy English and no further insight into why the app fails to issue alerts. A weather alert app (that I paid for!) that doesnt issue alerts? Ridiculous. Shame on you MeteoGroup. I also paid for MeteoEarth (another one of your apps) and its brilliant. AlertsPro, on the other hand, it worthless and should be pulled from the App Store. UPDATE (2/19/2015): Support contacted me and advised that although their app uses weather alerts issued by NOAAs National Weather Service (NWS), winter weather and wind chill advisories are not among those reported by AlertsPro. I find that ridiculous for two reasons: 1) AlertsPro has a rather generic "Weather Alert" badge among its available alerts. At the very least, they could have AlertPro use that classification, however nondescript, to let users know SOMETHING caught the eye of NWS officials. As is, a wind chill of -30 Fahrenheit and lower--a dangerous phenomenon for a host of reasons--is simply ignored. 2) If AlertPro were simply another weather app--you know, provides current conditions, a multi-day forecast, RADAR renderings, etc.--then OK...not including every possible alert, including "freezing spray" warnings on Lake Superior and/or other rarely used oddities among NWS playbook, would be reasonable. But given this apps sole function is issuing alerts related to environmental phenomena, simply ignoring alerts MeteoGroup apparently doesnt consider important does NOT preclude the importance of those alerts to others. Besides, I suspect any MeteoGroup employee stuck out in the -41 degree Fahrenheit (ambient) temperature logged in Embarrass, Minnesota (USA) last night would likely realize ignoring wind chill advisories is a wholly silly (i.e., stupid!) oversight. Again...avoid this app. Its not worthy of your money.

Locations are way off

The app does report weather pretty ok, however the locations are rather arbitrary. The app reports me in a location 8 miles away, in a small community 1/10th of the size of the town where I live. Its only an irritation, however the home location cannot be set manually.

Worthless

Does not deliver any weather alerts in U.S. Midwest. Need I say more?

Cool to see those warnings

Works pretty well, Nice app!

Rating

Excellent.need ore details about space over earth where clouds concentrate.

Checking it out

Im still checking it out but 2 things 1. The comment about the dev not being very good with English... So what! Do you speak every language perfectly? Im sick of hearing people complain about someone not speaking English good enough. Pompous **** 2. Cold weather is important, but do you really need an alert for that? Doesnt a 5 day or even 10 day forecast show you it in advance already? A rabid dog is out on the loose is something to alert about. A mad snail attack probably isnt going to make the alert system go bonkers. ****Update**** Ill visit back after Ive seen the app more. Sorry, but roasting the devs on their English got me a bit riled. ****Update**** Cant zoom in enough on the maps. Need to purchase premium to really use a lot of the features. Many of the free apps will show you the past hour of activity on the map, but this one needs the premium. Not as important but would be nice. If you tap on a warning and it shows you the map, it will not allow you to zoom in or out unless you purchase the premium. All in all, Ill stick with my other apps. Hurricane tracker gives me what I need.

This is one of the best weather app.one of the most accurate

Nice app

I like the app...its easy to use and contains accurate information. I wish the map features came with the app without having to pay for upgrade though. Zoom in function would have been nice. Other than that, love it!

Weather abounds

This app is excellent and keeps us ahead of weather events
